I’ve spent a little time every morning this week trying to decide when I would leave town. Postponing my departure this far was easy, especially after Ian’s parents conned me into staying an extra day to hang out with Ian. (Trickery and arm twisting. So much arm twisting. 😉 ) Today, as I was looking at my rough itinerary, the options, the weather, the possibilities…I knew it was time to hop on the road again. I woke up around midnight, surprised at how bright it was outside. The moon, though it was not full, was in full effect. I rolled over and fell back asleep, not stirring again until just before 0500. By that point, the moon was gone and the sky was littered with stars. I have never seen so many stars in all my life! Read More »
Today was my last day on the ranch. Sandee spoiled me with farm fresh eggs, coffee, and great conversation this morning. While we had girl talk, Charlie was in the car where he was supposed to be eating his breakfast. Instead, he was chasing flies. Read More »

When we woke up this morning, our tent was the driest it has been since we started the trip. I cannot even explain what a big difference a dry tent makes in breaking down camp. It is so much nicer!Read More »
