I just completed another road trip, making that number 4* for the year. The route, this time, was from Chula Vista, California to Hood River, Oregon. Google says the most direct route for this trip is 1,088 miles…but we all know that’s not the way I like to travel. 😉 As such, Charlie and I turned this 18 hour drive into a five day camping trip!

I’ve spent a little time every morning this week trying to decide when I would leave town. Postponing my departure this far was easy, especially after Ian’s parents conned me into staying an extra day to hang out with Ian. (Trickery and arm twisting. I woke up around midnight, surprised at how bright it was outside. The moon, though it was not full, was in full effect. I rolled over and fell back asleep, not stirring again until just before 0500. By that point, the moon was gone and the sky was littered with stars. I have never seen so many stars in all my life! Read More »
